How ought we to respond to climate change? How should we tax income or wealth? What sort of healthcare system should we adopt? What should our immigration policies be? How should we regulate cross-border trade? Questions like these are public in the sense that we face them as political entities. Accordingly, to address these and similar political questions, we must combine insights and theories from politics, philosophy, and economics. The PPEL major aims to enable students to do so and, thereby, equip students to think, speak, and write well about matters of law and public policy.
